Alexander Wong was the first player eliminated from the final table in the High Roller.

In a heads-up pot against Alexandre Nadeau-Levesque, Wong did his best to get his opponent to fold but could not get him off his hand and hit the rail trying.

Nadeau-Levesque had defended his big blind to Wong’s pre-flop raise and check-called his way to winning a big pot. The board read when Wong fired a 500K bet that Nadeau-Levesque promptly called. The river brought the and Nadeau-Levesque checked once again, allowing Wong to move all in for 1,700,000 in chips. Nadeau-Levesque went into the tank and eventually splashed a pile of chips forward. Wong tabled his , and Nadeau-Levesque showed his to send Wong out in ninth place.

Wong earned $12,000 for the final table appearance.

After nearly 26 levels of play, following the elimination of Medhat Ramzy, the field in the High Roller is down to ten players and they are ready to take their places at the final table.

Ramzy had lost most of his chips to David Baba a few hands earlier and was reduced to around four big blinds. Seeing the big blind approach, he was forced to take his chances from under the gun. His all in was called by the big blind, Alexander Wong who held a dominating hand.

Ramzy found a way to make a straight, but the river card gave Wong a flush and sent Ramzy out in tenth place.

Ramzy will take home $9,500 for his efforts.

Jiachen Gong was playing one of the shorter stacks on his table for quite some time, but he remained patient and found a way to get his chips in good. Unfortunately for him, Alexandre Nadeau-Levesque was lucky enough to flop a set to send Gong to the rail in twelfth place.

Nadeau-Levesque opened the action from early position with pocket sevens, and Gong came over the top with a three-bet shove with his pocket jacks. The seven on the flop gave Nadeau-Levesque the lead, one he would not relinquish on the run out.

Gong will take home $8,000 for his deep run in the High Roller.

The remaining players in the High Roller are both skilled and determined. And that combination makes it difficult to get their chips. At this stage, it takes a set-up hand or a cooler spot. On the most recent elimination, it was the tournament classic.

Maximilian Droege moved all in with after a pre-flop opening raise from Ruben Perceval. Perceval was holding so when all the chips went in and hands were tabled, it was a familiar tournament situation to all in attendance. In the end, Perceval’s pocket pair faded Droege’s over cards, sending Droege to the rail in fourteenth place.

Droege will collect $8,000 for the deep run.

Alexander Wong has a small chip lead over Samuel Tsehai with 14 players remaining in the High Roller. Wong, Tsehai and James George are each playing more than fifty big blinds, and the rest of the field is trying to keep up with them as we begin play in level 24.

The tournament hall is emptying out, but the players in the High Roller are settled in for a long grind to the finish.

Now that only two tables remain in the High Roller, there has been a complete seating re-draw. James George and Alexander Wong currently control the largest stacks in play, but everyone with a chip and chair has a shot at taking this one down.
