We missed the action, however when we arrived at table 56, the board was showing Ace of Spades 4 of Hearts 2 of Hearts 7 of Diamonds 8 of Spades, and Samuel Chartier had a pair of Ace of Hearts Ace of Diamonds in front of him. The dealer cut down his 10,475,000 stack, and then asked Ubaid Habib to pay out the amount. Ubaid was left with a little over 10 million after the hand, after starting Day 3 as one of the top stacks, while Samuel jumped up above 21 million.

    Joseph Sicko doubles up

    • Level: 20
    • Small Blind: 125K
    • Big Blind: 250K
    • Button Ante: 250K

John Richards open shoved 12 big blinds but hit a brick wall. Joseph Sicko, covering him but just a bit, went all-in himself, and the two had a pre-flop showdown:

Richards: 5 of Clubs 5 of Spades
Sicko: Ace of Hearts Ace of Clubs

Board: 8 of Spades 8 of Clubs Queen of Spades Jack of Clubs Queen of Diamonds

Sicko was all smiles after gobbling Richards’ stack. He is now almost on the average, and after surviving the bubble action, is now looking to lift himself into the leading pack. Just one double-up away!

Gross amongst the most recent eliminations

    • Level: 20
    • Small Blind: 125L
    • Big Blind: 250K
    • Button Ante: 250K
    • Chip Average: 11M

Jeff Gross was holding 3,900,000 chips when he moved all-in from early position. Jake Daniels isolated him from middle position, and the remaining players threw their cards into the muck.

Jeff: 9 of Hearts 9 of Clubs
Jake: Ace of Hearts Ace of Diamonds

Board: Queen of Spades 7 of Clubs King of Diamonds 10 of Diamonds 6 of Clubs

Jeff couldn’t improve his hand, and was eliminated from the shrinking field, earning himself a min-cash of $10,000. The field is now down to 166 finalists, all looking to become the newest MILLIONS tournament champion.

    Vijayaratnam makes the knockout

    • Level: 20
    • Small Blind: 125K
    • Big Blind: 250K
    • Button Ante: 250K
    • Chip Average: 10.6M
    • Remaining: 182
    • Entries: 1954

    2018/04/30 - 15:33 by Jôle Simard

When Eric Vanauken raised all-in for 1.2M, action was folded to Senthuran Vijayaratnam, who tanked for a while. He finally went all-in himself, for almost 8M chips. Jean-Baptiste Spencer was in the big blind and considered tagging along, but elected to stay outside of it.

Vanauken: Queen of Hearts Jack of Clubs
Vijayaratnam: Ace of Clubs King of Diamonds

Board: 3 of Hearts 7 of Clubs Jack of Spades King of Hearts King of Spades

Senthuran wasn’t too happy about the flop, but both the turn and the river served him, allowing his stack to gain some health and approach the 10M mark.

The immediate post-bubble-burst period in any tournament is almost an event-within-the-event, as players who don’t feel they’re in a position to challenge for the lead choose instead to take their profits and move to the next game. It’s almost always the highest eliminations-per-hour periods in any tournament.

Here are some of the players eliminated since the bubble burst less than an hour ago:

    • Carlo Nini
    • Harrison Gimbel
    • Adam Owen
    • Charles-Alexandre Sylvestre
    • Alexander Lynskey
    • Chanracy Khun
    • Victor Ramdin
    • Shannon Shorr
    • Tomas Fara
    • Eric Afriat

Each has cashed for $10,000 – though more than one player is certain to take their $10K in winnings, add $300 and join right in the MILLIONS Finale!
