Tonight at 7:30pm, Event 15 in the Playground Winter Festival will begin. The tournament is a $90 + $10 + $25 Bounty event, meaning that each player will contribute $90 to the overall prize pool but will also carry a $25 Bounty chip that players will give to the players that eliminates them from the tournament.
Bounty tournaments have been a popular format for closing festivals here at Playground Poker Club, and they’re popular enough that there are two weekly bounty tournaments on the regular schedule as well. One of the reasons this format is so popular is simple – when you eliminate a player, you get $25 immediately in the form of their bounty chip. It’s a very satisfying feeling!
Plus, if history is any indication, tonight’s tournament should have quite a large turnout, so not only will there be a lot of bounties in circulation – the prize pool should be pretty awesome in its own right!
