When you’re in the small blind with a decent ace and playing against a big blind with a stack on the short side and likely to take risks, you’re pretty confident to have the best hand. But sometimes, as Shawn Konig found out the hard way, you’re way behind. Denis Ouellette had a serious pocket pair and only needed to fade an ace on the run out.

Konig: Ace of Diamonds 9 of Clubs
Ouellette: King of Hearts King of Diamonds

Board: 2 of Hearts 8 of Spades 5 of Hearts 10 of Diamonds Jack of Clubs

Ouellette picks up the 75K pot.
