André Doucet was in a pre-flop showdown with Francis Fortin Chevalier:

André: Ace of Hearts Queen of Clubs
Francis: Ace of Clubs 6 of Hearts

Board: Queen of Hearts 6 of Diamonds Ace of Spades 5 of Hearts 8 of Hearts

Both players flopped two pairs, but Doucet had the top two. He is now in a heads-up match with Marc Lavergne with a commanding lead.

Only one table has concluded, but several are playing heads-up or 3-way. Diego Aguilar enjoys a nice break, or maybe a cash game session! Graig William still has a crushing lead over Patrick Williams, while Kevin Klun leads comfortably his own heads-up match.

Our third heads-up match is between Stephen Langlois and Charles Gendron, and Langlois has a 2 to 1 lead.

We have our first heads-up match

The first heads-up match is on table 54 where Diego Aguilar and Gerassimos Mavrokefalos are engaged in a very uneven battle. Diego has about 120K, and Gerassimos 30K. Meanwhile, table 49 is playing 7-handed!

While Graig William keeps handling his own table, Diego Aguilar just sprinted his way to about 100K. Both William and Aguilar are playing 3-way, while two other tables are 4-way. It shouldn’t be too long before we have our first qualifiers.

Each table has 150K in chips, which is what every player needs to have in order to pass round 1. Graig Williams has already amassed 93,500 chips, and has just 3 opponents on his table, while our shortest chip leader has 22,500. We put together a table that lists every chip leader in the room:

The Shootout event is almost sold out, with just 5 spots available. Registration closes in 5 minutes, and players will then take a short break. While some tables are still full, others are already playing 5-way, with a few big stacks on them. Stay tuned for the Leaderboard.
