Through to the beginning of level 4, there are 60 entries in Event #8 including 5 rebuys – with more rebuys certainly to come as the clock winds down to the end of the rebuy period.

Today’s daytime tournament in the May Power Weekend is Event #8, a $60 + $10 NL Hold’em Single Rebuy tournament. Action has just gotten underway in the Tournament Hall and so far there are 40 players seated at the tables. This is a single rebuy tournament, meaning that during the first four levels of play – until 1:20pm, a player that busts may choose to buy a new stack for $60. This format of tournament leads to some interesting dynamics, as a player who takes a bad beat will be more apt to gamble the rest of his or her chips in the early going to facilitate a rebuy.
This tournament will play through to a champion today, and play will continue through 20 minute levels throughout.
