The Wild $150 is now in level 25, and the field is down to it’s final 5 tables. There are still 4 more 40-minute levels to complete tonight before the remaining players bag and tag their chips onto Day 3, where we will be crowning a champion.

Francis Dery (2,300,000) has taken over the chip lead for the time being, and has quite the lead over the rest of the players. Not far behind is Jean-Francois Marin (1,550,000) in second, and Stephan Belisle (1,525,000) in third.

Players will go on break in around half an hour, and at this point we will bring you an update on all the remaining chip counts.

The Day 2 of the Wild $150 is now mid-way through level 21. Since the bubble has burst, we’ve seen a number of players hit the rail, while others are starting to accumulate some massive stacks.

Fadi Haddad (640,000) is currently leading the field, but he is closely followed by Francis Dery (590,000), Jean Louis Forino (580,000) and Benoit Poirier (575,000). We will be bringing a more detailed update on the leaderboard during the break following level 22.

The bubble just burst and a scheduled break came immediately following so we are able to update the leaderboard as play begins in the money.

The early chip leader today, Gianfranco Giordano, is lurking just a touch behind at about the 430K mark, along with about 3-4 others.

Level 20 is set to begin in just a few minutes, and blind levels will now increase to 40 minutes in length. They will stay at this length through the end of the day and continue until the end of level 29, tomorrow.

Patrick Mailloux got his money in good on the bubble, as he committed his remaining 20 big blinds by calling a preflop open-shove from a big stack opponent. The rest of the players on the table folded, and the cards were turned over.

Patrick’s was the better preflop hand, as he was up against , however he was rivered on the board to get knocked out in 154th place, 1 shy of the money.

With that elimination, The Wild $150 is now in the money! The players are enjoying a 20-minute break, as the tournament staff race off the T500 chips out of play.

We are just about to enter hand-for-hand play here in Day 2 of the Wild $150, as the field is nearing the 153-player mark, which is how many players will cash in this event. There are many short stacks scattered around the field, and some players are hoping to passively squeeze into the money, while others are taking advantage of this situation to chip up by playing more aggressively. We can expect to see a slew of eliminations once the bubble has burst.
