The players at the final table of the Playground 200 have just returned to their seats following the first break of the evening.

Michael Khan leads the way with a small chip lead over François Dugas, and they are both comfortably ahead of the rest of the players at the table. But with the blinds as high as they are, things can change in a hurry so it’s too early to count anyone out.

Finalists of the Playground 200 were still in the process of settling down and getting comfortable when David Sorgente found a hand to go to battle with. Michael Khan had enough to contest his aggression.

Sorgente: Ace of Clubs Queen of Diamonds
Khan: 8 of Spades 8 of Diamonds

Board: 5 of Spades 10 of Clubs 8 of Hearts Ace of Spades 5 of Hearts

Khan spiked an 8 on the flop, and the turn got him the check mark. Sorgente left in 10th, wishing everybody good luck. He cashes $1,910 for his deep run.

Jacques Bigonesse followed him. He showed up on the final with a micro stack. He managed to double it up, but lost on the following hand. His 9th place gets him $2,300.

    Well done guys!

Back to back bust outs brings the Playground 200 to the final table. George Siamoutas fell to François Dugas when his king-jack couldn’t catch Dugas’ ace-jack.

On the other table, Makan Salimi lost his chips to Mathieu Boucher in a dramatic fashion. Boucher’s sixes flopped a set, but fell behind when Salimi’s ace-queen turned a straight! The river, however, paired the board and Salimi was bubbling the final table.

When Michael Khan raised to 95K, David Sorgente called, and Levon Dedeyan shoved 600K. Khan completed the bet, secretly hoping for Sorgente to go over the top and create a huge side pot, but he was left with Dedeyan to a very uneven showdown.

Khan Ace of Hearts Ace of Clubs
Dedeyan: 6 of Hearts 6 of Diamonds

Board: 4 of Clubs 8 of Diamonds 10 of Diamonds Queen of Diamonds 9 of Clubs

Dedeyan found hope on the turn, but the clean river sent him home with $1,520. Congratulations!

George Siamoutas raised to 110K from the under-the-gun position and was called by François Dugas before Christopher Kokozaki shoved over the top for 370K total.

Siamoutas called, and so did Dugas. On the flop, the action went check all-in fold, and Dugas was in a showdown against Kokozaki.

Dugas: Queen of Diamonds 10 of Diamonds
Kokozaki: 4 of Hearts 4 of Diamonds

Board: 2 of Clubs 5 of Spades 10 of Spades Ace of Diamonds King of Clubs

Dugas had flopped a top pair and collected the million-chip pot. Kokozaki went out in 14th place, good for $1,520.

    Nice run!

Some Day 3 qualifiers made it here with rather short stacks, and naturally, a few quick eliminations brought the tournament to a 2-table affair. Already 6 of them hit the rail and we now have 2 tables of 7 players each.

The player who has benefited the most from these movements is Mathieu Boucher, who is now sitting on over 2.5M chips.

    Mathieu Boucher

    20th: Mathieu Brunet – $1,040
    19th: Jean-François Stoycheff – $1,040
    18th: Kenneth Legue – $1,260
    17th: Aboud Georgos – $1,260
    16th: Éric Guindon – $1,260
    15th: Chris B. – $1,520
