Today’s 12:00pm starting flight has now progressed through all 14 levels and play has been suspended for the day while the remaining players bag up their chips to return to play tomorrow in Day 2. According to the tournament clock there were 97 players remaining when the time ran out, which is a healthy number of players to add to the 247 that had already qualified for Day 1.
The chip leader to end the day is a newcomer to the leaderboard on the day, Tarek Hammoud, followed closely by Yann Prevost-Dumont. Players like Louis Boutin, Vasilios Gerontakos, and Trevor Delaney who had been fixtures on the leaderboard all day are also present near the top of the list – they ended the day in 3rd, 8th, and 7th respectively.
The full results from Day 1G have been added to the Colossus – Combined Day 1 results page, and stay tuned to this WSOP-C Event News site and/or the Playground Poker Club Facebook page for a link to the Official Day 2 Seating draw, which will be published as soon as Day 1H concludes.
