We are at the beginning of level 7 here in the tent, and the players just came back from break. The registration (and re-entry) period is now closed.
We’ve had quite a turnout for Day 1H: 502 entries, including 97 re-entries. We currently have 229 players still in the action. Some players with shorter stacks are keeping an eye on the clock, because they know they have until roughly 10:55pm, to register in the last Day 1 of this event. Day 1I has been running for 90 minutes and there are already 190 entries.
During the break we went through the Tent and found three chip leaders. Steve Mansour is the front-runner with a stack of 201,800 chips, almost 5 times the chip average.
The players settle in for the middle stretch of the tournament. This is when the players need to bring their A-game to the table in order to feed their stacks enough to last another 8 levels.
