Registration in Day 1G has just passed the 500 entry mark, meaning that there are over 10,000,000 tournament chips in play in this starting flight in the Colossus! The Tournament Hall is already full to capacity, so players are now being seated in the Tournament Tent to make sure everyone who wants to play will be quickly accommodated.
Attendance has exploded in Day 1G of the Colossus! There are still 3 hours and 30 minutes of late registration available and there are already 485 entries including 25 re-entries. People continue to register every few minutes and the total number continues to rise at a steady pace.
Among the amazing field today is a very special guest, our friend and partypoker Chairman Mike Sexton. He took his seat at table 28 when play began at noon. It’s always great to welcome Mike back to Playground Poker Club!

It’s a perfect day for poker in the Montreal area – rainy and cool – and obviously a lot of people agree with us that there’s no better way to escape the rain than by coming indoors to play some poker!
Play is just now underway in Day 1G in the Colossus, and as the countdown begins in level 1, there are already 306 entries in the flight including a lot of players we haven’t seen yet during the event, so this is shaping up to be a huge day. As has been the case for all Live Day 1 flights so far, play in Day 1G will continue through 14 levels of 40 minutes in length, at which time the remaining players will bag up their chips to take to Day 2 on Monday.

The $300 + $30 Colossus in the 2018 WSOP-C Playground has reached the final day to play Day 1s in the event, and today there are three more chances in which to book a spot in Day 2 on Monday. In fact, considering that this is a single re-entry event, players actually have 6 more chances – so even someone who has not played a single hand in the tournament yet will have plenty of opportunity to take their shot at Day 2 and possibly a share of the $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.
It all gets started today with Day 1G at 12:00PM, which will be followed by Day 1H at 4:30PM in much the same pattern as the past few days. The new factor today is Day 1I, the Turbo flight, which will begin at 8:00PM and will feature 20 minute blinds. Late registration (and the re-entry period) in Day 1I ends at 10:55PM, meaning that players will have just under 11 continuous hours in which they can enter (or re-enter) the event!
There are already almost 250 qualifiers that have booked their spot in Day 2 – and a handful that have qualified more than once and will take their best stack forward. One thing is certain – today’s action in the Colossus will add a lot more qualifiers to the mix for Monday!
