We are halfway in level 5 here in the Tournament Tent and the players are entering at a steady pace.  We now have 286 players still playing out of 487 entries, including 90 re-entries, that were logged for this flight.

Players still have until 9:00pm to register in Day 1H, or elect to try their hand in the turbo Day 1I scheduled to start at 8:00pm.

We decided to shine a light on the beautiful ladies of poker.  Don’t let their pretty eyes and soft demeanor fool you, they will take all your chips if you let them!

Play has been halted for a short 15-minute break here in the Tournament Hall.  The sight in the tent is quite impressive, since almost all of the tables are in use.  The buffet is a sure-fire hit with the players and the lovely Playground waiting staff is on hand for table-side service.

It was quite a challenge to survey all 34 open tables to find chip leaders but we spotted a few worth mentioning.

“Wow” is just about the only word we could find, to describe Julio Cacoilo’s stack right now.  With 106,300 chips in front of him, he was more than happy to strike a pose for us.  With the blinds at 200/400 and the average hovering at 26K Julio’s stack is quite impressive.

Here are a few more stacks that caught our eye this early in the flight.  The tournament board show 448 entries (including 70 re-entries) and the players are still coming in.  Late registration (or re-entry) is open for another 2 hours.

It’s an extremely busy day at Playground Poker Club and today’s final “normal” starting flight in the Colossus is no exception – so far, there are already 407 entries with 2 hours and 40 minutes of late registration (or time to re-enter) available.

Of course there’s also the Turbo starting flight yet to begin tonight – it gets under way at 8:00pm.

Play is just getting to the end of level 1 in Day 1H and there are already over 300 entries, and more are joining in every few minutes. So it’s official – Day 1H in the Colossus is going to be huge!

As the late registration and re-entry period in Day 1G has wound to a close, players have just taken their seats in today’s 4:30pm Day 1H flight, which is being held in the Tournament Tent. With over 700 entries in the early flight today, it’s not surprising that numbers for Day 1H are also expected to be strong – and in fact there are already more than 120 entries bought in.

As has been the case for all of the Day 1 starting flights so far, blinds will be 40 minutes long and players will have to make their way through 14 levels today in order to bag chips to return to play on Day 1 tomorrow. Late registration will be open until the beginning of level 7, and re-entries may be purchased directly at the cashier in the Tent.
