The players in Day 1C are now playing in level 10 of the 14 scheduled for today, and there are still 66 players still at the tables – which seems to indicate that the pace has slowed somewhat overall in this flight.
Simon Tremblay is still near the top of the leaderboard, but at the last break, Michael Malm and Philippe Binette had both surpassed his count.
| First Name | Prénom | Last Name | Nom | Stack | Tapis |
|---|---|---|
| Michael | Malm | 231,500 |
| Philippe | Binette | 223,000 |
| Simon | Tremblay | 182,000 |

There are now just 88 players left at the tables in Day 1C – the final total number of entries when registration closed was 230 (including 38 re-entries) – and play continues in level 8 with blinds at the 500/1,000 level with a button ante of 1,000. We recently surveyed the room to find the current leaders and found three players with more than double the chip average – and quite a few others with less than 100K, but not by very much.
| First Name | Prénom | Last Name | Nom | Stack | Tapis |
|---|---|---|
| Simon | Tremblay | 127,000 |
| Steven | Martin | 114,000 |
| Guy | Despres | 110,000 |

Action has begun in Day 1D in the Colossus, and this marks the first use of the tent that has been installed to handle the anticipated traffic in the WSOP-C Playground. The word “tent” doesn’t really do it justice, because what has really been added is a full-service and quite beautiful additional poker room pretty much doubling the seating capacity during the WSOP-C. The tables are full-sized and all newly-refelted, and the add-on poker room has extra amenities like a hot and cold buffet, a full bar, a tournament desk, and a cashier – not to mention two huge, bright and sharp projection TVs.
Play is progressing through level 1 at the moment and so far there are 101 entries with more joining in every few seconds. Players may enter or re-enter any time until the beginning of level 7 – in other words, until 9:00pm tonight.

There are still 130 active players in Day 1C of the Colossus as the clock counts down in level 6 – the last level during which late registration is permitted. There are already 35 re-entries, but it would be natural to see a slight uptick in that number as the end of the late registration period approaches. There are still 40 minutes left to join Day 1C.
Here are a few photos from levels 5-6.

The number of entries on Day 1C has just ticked past 200 runners to put more than 4 million chips in play. Our chip leader at the last break, Kurtis Brooks, still has one of the larger stacks in play, but many players are closing in on his lead.
At this point, 24 players have opted to fire a second bullet at this flight, but there should be many more re-entries throughout the afternoon as the total chip count keeps increasing to offer more and more enticement.
Here’s a look at some of the players in the field in level 4:
