The 10 finalists in Event #4 are all in the money, but with the huge disparity between tenth and first place money they are keeping their eyes on the big money up top.

Alec Brandstatter took over the chip lead shortly before the break, but most players a fairly close to each other in chips so things could swing in anyone’s favour.

Joey “Birdman” Boczek has just sent Tyler Fillmore to the rail in twelfth place, bursting the money bubble on Event #4.

With the blinds at 4K/8K, Frederic Blais limped into the pot from late position, and Fillmore completed from the small blind. When the action came to Boczek in the big blind, he quickly moved all in for roughly 70K. The raise quickly chased Blais out of the pot, but when the action came back to Fillmore, he went deep into the tank. Fillmore, who was covered by Boczek, eventually called off his stack, and hands were tabled.

And with that, the Birdman’s boat burst the bubble on the Bounty.

With 16 players left in this afternoon’s Bounty, the money bubble is looming large on the horizon. The top 11 players will make the money so every decision can have major consequences at this stage. The mood at the final two tables has been dampened as the blind pressure keeps increasing.

As the players left on their third break of the afternoon, Patric Samson managed to maintain his chip lead from the last break and continues to lead the way with a stack well beyond double the current chip average.

Roughly a quarter of the entries remain in contention, with 19 of 81 players left. The blinds have crept up to increase the pressure on the short stacks, as the chip average now provides roughly 20 big blinds. Expect the play to tighten up over the next few levels as the money bubble is not far away.

The players have just returned from their latest break, and Patric Samson holds a commanding chip lead over the field. Nearly half of the original entries have already made their exit, with 42 of the 81 entries remaining.

There is still a long way to go before the players reach the money in this event, as the top 11 will cash this afternoon, and the chip average provides over 30 big blinds, leaving all the options on the table.
