The players in Event #4 have taken their first break of the days, and though it’s early to have a real “leader board” per se, there are two players that have jumped out to an early lead – Mohammed Shah Jehan with 58,500 chips, and David Safrany, who has already accumulated over 72,000 in chips!
Registration has now closed in the tournament with a total of 81 players entered. We’ll publish the “traditional” prize pool shortly.
With just 30 minutes left of late registration to go, there are already 70 players in the event and more joining every few minutes. Here are a few photos of the field taken during level 3.
Event #4 is now underway, and as predicted, there is a steady stream of players joining the event. Play is already through most of Level 1, there are already 45 players at the tables – each of them having contributed $75 to the “regular” prize pool and holding another $25 in the form of a bounty chip with players at their table.

Today’s daytime event in the June Power Weekend is a $75 + $10 + $25 NL Hold’em Bounty tournament with a nice $5,000 guarantee. Bounty tournaments are always extremely popular at Playground Poker Club, and even with the Thursday Noon starting time, it will certainly welcome a solid field of players competing for the big prizes at the end of the tournament – but also competing to win each other’s $25 bounty chips!
Play will begin at 12:00pm and players will start with 20,000 tournament chips and play through 20 minute levels throughout the tournament. Late registration is available until the beginning of level 5 – in other words, players have until 1:30pm to join the fun!
