In just under an hour, play is set to resume in Event $1, The Wild $150. There are 29 players remaining and play will continue tonight until a Champion is crowned and someone lays claim to the sweet Playground Winter Festival Champion’s Trophy.
Daniel Le and Yan Nadeau start the day as chip leaders – and they also start as table-mates. In fact, of the top 10 players left in the event, 6 of them will start the night on Table 35. This has upsides and downsides – obviously it’s more challenging to pit your big stack against so many other big stacks. On the other hand – there are more chips on the table to win! In any case, table 35 is scheduled to be the first table to break during the evening, so all of these super-stacked players will be distributed among the other tables reasonably soon tonight.
Action will resume in level 27 – blinds 25K/50K/a5K and with a chip average of 825,000, the two small stacks (Olivier Theriault-Boudreau and Rene-Philippe Noel at 160K each) will be under pressure from the start of the night, and there are 5 others playing sub-10-bb stacks, so expect the action to be fast… at least to start!
Good luck to all those who remain in the action!
