As is often the case, action opened-up once the ICM-deal was struck, as the tournament has now become a winner-take-all format.

Michael Malm was the first eliminated from the final table, as he was all-in pre-flop and at risk, flipping for a nearly 9-million chip pot with Santiago Plante.

Michael: 4 of Spades 4 of Clubs
Santiago: Ace of Clubs 9 of Clubs

Board: 9 of Spades 2 of Spades 7 of Spades 6 of Hearts 7 of Clubs

Michael had locked in $23,395.00 in the deal – another solid score for the WSOP-bracelet winner.

6th place: Michael Malm – $23,395.00

Shortly after, Philippe Belley put his tournament life at risk with Ace of Clubs 10 of Hearts, and was matched up against Isaac Buswell holding Ace of Hearts King of Diamonds.

The board ran out Queen of Hearts King of Hearts 5 of Diamonds 4 of Diamonds 4 of Clubs, and Isaac claimed the remainder of Philippe’s chips.

5th place: Philippe Belley – $13,850.00

Another quick elimination occurred just moments later, as Naghibollah Noori shoved with Ace of Hearts Queen of Spades, and was met with a call from Santiago, who tabled Ace of Diamonds King of Spades. They both paired their ace on the 3 of Clubs 6 of Spades 5 of Spades Ace of Clubs 10 of Diamonds board, however Santigo’s kicker was the better one, and he was awarded the pot.

4th place: Naghibollah Noori – $16,300.00

Presten Cloutier was the next casualty on this final table, as his 6 of Spades 6 of Clubs was bested by Santiago’s 8 of Spades 9 of Spades on a 8 of Hearts 8 of Clubs 2 of Hearts King of Spades Jack of Clubs board.

3rd place: Preston Cloutier – $24,935.00
