Players are now back from break. The late registration period is over, but 25 alternates are still waiting, and should all be seated in the next 20 minutes or so. The number of 338 should remain, although it is always possible for an alternate to get a refund if he feels that he has been waiting too long.
Day 1a is a tremendous start to this series, and most likely a preview of what the next 2 weeks will be like. See you on the felts!

With just a few minutes left before the end of the first segment, there are still alternates waiting to be seated. As predicted, this will be an extremely busy day, so make sure you register early for tonight’s flight! Although Playground Poker Club is not in the habit of refusing players, it is always better to secure a spot than to wait for one on the rail.
With about an hour left to late registration, the flow of entries has not slowed down yet, with the total now passed the 300 mark. Here are some photos taken during levels 1 and 2:
Play in Day 1A of The Wild $150 is currently moving through level 2 and there has been an explosion of action in the Tournament Hall today! There are already 294 players registered including a few alternates who have yet to be seated – and with late reg open for another 2+ levels, the total attendance in this first of four flights is sure to set a huge standard for the rest of the event.
This bodes well for the growth of a huge prize pool – that if the current trend continues, will far surpass the guarantee!
The Winter Festival is officially kicked off! The words ”Shuffle up and deal” just resounded in Playground Poker Club’s tournament hall, and with that some 200 players got to work, with many more to come. The first 2 flights being held on a Sunday, we expect this day to be a huge one. Join us in celebrating this opening day, be part of the huge success that this Winter Festival is about to be.
