A short break is underway here in Day 3 of The Wild $150, and we took this chance to bring an update on the counts of the final 6 players, found below. Karim Idrissi continues to lead the field, and is more than double any other stack at the moment. With the average stack at 20 big blinds, tides can shift quickly and it’s still anyone’s game at this point.

Karim Idrissi just took out Brent Mccue, adding another million to his massive lead. He min-raised from the cut-off, only to see Mccue go over the top with his whole stack. Karim only had about 700K to add. It didn’t take him long to make his decision, holding the very capable King of Clubs Queen of Clubs. He did not budge when he say his opponent’s 9 of Clubs 8 of Clubs, because he knows better than to celebrate ahead of time. The dealer ran the board: 7 of Spades 4 of Clubs 3 of Spades Jack of Spades 2 of Hearts. That was the moment chosen by Idrissi to pump his fist, as he was now one step closer to his goal.

Congratulations to Brent Mccue, who takes home $3,000.00 for his great run!

Action folded around to Nimer Ltaif in middle position, who announced all-in. Simon Pin-Disle was next to act and asked for a count before calling the 935K wager. The rest of the players folded and the heads-up players tabled their hands.

Nimer: King of Clubs Jack of Hearts
Simon: 9 of Clubs 9 of Spades

It was all but over on the flop as Simon setted the window card on a 7 of Spades 5 of Spades 9 of Diamonds 3 of Diamonds 2 of Spades board, bringing his stack up near the 3-million mark.

9th place: Nimer Ltaif – $2,100.00

On the third hand of play on the final table of The Wild $150, Karim opened from middle position, and quickly called a 3-bet of roughly 2 million form Daniel Le in the big blind.

Karim: King of Spades King of Clubs
Daniel: 9 of Hearts 9 of Diamonds

Daniel picked up some out on the flop, but failed to improve as the board read 8 of Hearts 5 of Spades 7 of Hearts Ace of Diamonds 10 of Diamonds. He was eliminated in 10th place, while Karim significantly increased his lead on this final table, now holding near 8 million chips.

10th place: Daniel Le – $1,750.00

With the recent elimination of Nicholas Belanger, The Wild $150 is now down to just 10 players, who make up our final table.

Leading the way is Karim Idrissi, who currently holds upwards of 5.5 million chips. The second biggest stack is that of Jean-Guy Larosiliere, who is just shy of 4 million chips.

Congratulations to the finalists of The Wild $150!
