With 45 players now remaining in The Wild $150, the field is now down to just 5 final tables. Level 25 has just begun, and less than 1 hour of play separates us from the end of Day 2.

Yan Nadeau continues to lead the field as he nears the 2 million chip mark, while Daniel Le, Simon Pin-Disle, Nicholas Belanger and Daniel Campbell round the top 5 with roughly 1 million chips each.

Yan Nadeau

Yan Nadeau was already leading the field in The Wild $150 before finding himself on the winning end of a massive 3-way all-in.

Josef Ares opened the action from under the gun, and found calls from Samuel Guillen in the small blind, and Yan in the big blind. Samuel open-shoved first to act on a 3 of Diamonds Ace of Diamonds Jack of Diamonds flop for 237K, and Yan quickly made the call. Josef went into the tank for a few minutes, and inevitably announced the call, leaving himself with only a few thousand behind. When the turn brought the Queen of Clubs, Yan moved all-in and Josef made the call – and all three players tabled their hands.

Samuel showed Ace of Hearts 3 of Hearts for two-pairs, Yan tabled Ace of Spades 10 of Diamonds for top-pair and a flush draw, while Josef held Ace of Clubs King of Clubs for top-pair. The dealer rung out a 9 of Diamonds on the river, rivering a flush for Yan and sending his two opponents to the rail. He climbed to over 1.6 million chips with that hand, putting him in the driver seat late in Day 2.

While this was happening, Daniel Le was involved in a huge pot himself on another table, as he was all-in and holding King of Hearts King of Spades on a 9 of Hearts 7 of Hearts 2 of Spades flop. He was up against two players, one with Queen of Spades Queen of Clubs and the other with 10 of Diamonds 7 of Spades. The turn 4 of Diamonds and river Jack of Hearts brought no change in the hand, and Daniel scooped the 7-figure pot to put him in second in chips.

Here are the top counts in play during this last break of Day 2. Players have 4 more levels to complete before bagging and tagging onto Day 3.

A few recent eliminations have brought The Wild $150 into the money, as 117 players remain at their seats with chips in hand, and a cash prize locked in.

We missed the eliminated hand, however we know it is Naghibollah Noori who just missed securing a cash prize, ending his run in 118th place.

Karen Kats

Karen Kats brought the tournament into hand-for-hand play as she made a huge call versus former big-stack Abraham Jungreis, who started the day 3rd in chips. We caught up to the action on the turn, where Karen was looking down at a 3 of Clubs 5 of Diamonds 7 of Diamonds 10 of Clubs board with already over 100K in the pot. She checked first to act, and was met with an over-bet all-in from her opponent. She asked for a count, and the dealer cut out Abraham’s stack of 152K, forcing her into the tank. She weighed out her options, and after some deliberation she finally made the call for around half of her remaining stack. Abraham tabled Ace of Hearts King of Hearts for ace-high, and Karen showed down 5 of Hearts 6 of Hearts for third pair and a gutshot. The river 9 of Clubs was a blank, and Karen scooped the massive pot, sending her opponent to the rail while bringing her chip count up to 645K – good for the current tournament chip lead.

Congratulations to the players in the money!
