Day 1D of The Wild $150 has just kicked off here at Playground Poker Club, and this will be the last chance for players to qualify a stack onto Day 2, which takes place tomorrow night at 7pm.

Leading up to this final flight, we’ve seen the $100K guarantee get surpassed before even the first subscription happened today. A total of 857 entries took place over the first 3 starting flights, and there are no signs of slowing down here in Day 1D, as over 175 players are already at their seats, with a line-up of newcomers at the cage currently buying in to the event. Every additional entry will increase the already massive prize-pool.

Late registration will remain open through until the end of the first break, allowing players to register into the tournament until 9:15pm tonight.

Don’t miss your chance of taking home a piece of the prize pool!

See you on the felts.

Day 1c sends 63 players to Day 2

2017/01/31 - 3:16 by Jôle Simard

Day 1c has come to a close, and players are finishing bagging their chips. They will see them again on Wednesday at 7pm, scheduled time of Day 2. The last few levels have seen a lot of action, and some big stacks were created. Patrick Trinh (featured below), absent from today’s early leaderboards used the back door at the end of the evening and finished on top of the field. Our 63 qualifiers join the 116 that secured a Day 2 seat yesterday.

We’re looking forward to seeing you tomorrow, as it is your last chance to qualify for a Day 2 seat and a shot at this great prize pool!

With only about 15 minutes to go before the end of the day, Georges Hallak, holding Queen of Spades Jack of Spades, got involved in a pot with Simon Pier Belair-Grondin. When he saw the 3 of Spades 9 of Spades Jack of Clubs flop, and with about 20 big blinds to his name, all he could think of is how to get his opponent to double him up. But poker is cruel, and Simon’s hand turned out to be very juicy. His King of Spades 10 of Spades made a straight when the turn brought the Queen of Diamonds, and the 8 of Clubs on the river did not help Georges. One of the last to be eliminated today, he can at least comfort himself with the fact that no human could have dodged elimination in this spot.

Marie Tran

Here is a look at our top 8 stacks at the moment of the break. The pack is led by none other than Marie Tran, featured on the right. The battle is fierce at the top, where no one seems to be able to put some distance between themselves and the pack. But a lot of big pots are yet to be disputed, and things are expected to change during the last stint.

Éric Boire

Eight levels have passed, and almost half the field have been sent home. Those chips have been distributed unevenly among the remaining players, and we prepared a list of the twelve players who got the better part of them. On top of that list sits Éric Boire, the only player that is currently playing a 6-digit stack.

Here is our second break leaderboard:
