Players in the Second Chance are now back from their last break of the day, and will play 3 more levels before they bag their chips. During that break, we updated the top of the leaderboard, and found 4 stacks that stand out. Ted Doukas is leading the way with 185K. Ted place 19th in the Playground Poker Fall Classic 2016 Main Event, and 2nd in the Second Chance of the same series. It is safe to say that Doukas knows how to get things done between these walls, and we are looking forward to see how he fares in this Event.

As the tournament staff were breaking table 69, turning the Event into a 4-table battle, Yann Prévost-Dumont was doubling up on Sammy Chao, result of a pre-flop battle. When we got to the table, there were 7K in front of Yann, who was in the button position, and 25K in front of Sammy Chao, who was small blind (1.6K big blind). Yann was in the tank, trying to assess Sammy’s range. Having started the hand with 50K in chips, he knew that there was no way to make Benny fold his cards after investing 25K, so the decision was a tough one. He finally elected to go all-in, and Sammy dropped a T100 chip next to his bet, indicating the call. This is when Yann realized that he was at risk with a much lesser hand.

Looking for an ace, Prévost-Dumont back-doored into a flush, spinning his stack into a 100K+ pyramid! Sammy Chao took a hit, but still has a little over 50K.

The Second Chance players are back from a short break and have just begun level 10. Although he just doubled table-opponent Matthew Wantman for around 21,000, Chad Coombs holds the biggest stack of the field with 123,400.
