The first break is now behind us, which means we have some more information to share about Event 15. In the end, 100 players showed up for some 6-max fast-pace action. That’s right, 100 on the nose, just enough to surpass the guarantee by 10%. The payouts will be made public soon, and in the meantime, we prepared an early top 5 stacks. Peter Zelmer has had a wonderful start, quadrupling his stack in the first segment, putting himself comfortably in the lead. Harley Stoffmaker and William Blais, 2 well know grinders at Playground Poker Club, share the second place, with a little over 70K.

The $500 + $50 NL Hold’em 6-Max is at level 6, and the first break is coming soon. Late registration closes in about 20 minutes, making it your last chance to join. The prize pool will be around 50K, and something like $10,000.00 will go to the victor. Does that sum have your name on it?

With just over 75 players registered so far, we are clearly on pace to hit 100 players. As the second chance is playing heads-up in the far corner, the final table of the main is unfolding at the other end of the hall. Add to that the $500 + $50 6-max field that continues to grow, and there is a lot of money to be won tonight. There is still a little over an hour to go before registration closes in Event 15, and much to rail in the major events. Whether it’s to watch the finals, play the 6-max, or to dabble at the cash tables, there is something for everyone tonight at Playground Poker Club.

Tonight, we play short-handed tournament poker. Our player base is accustomed to this format, as the regular tournament schedule features a $150 + $15 NL Hold’em 6-Max every Monday, and it is one of the most popular. This buy-in being higher, it will allow for a much bigger prize pool than usual.

Players will work with a 25K starting stack and 20-minute levels. Late registration will remain open for 6 levels plus the first break, so you are more than welcome to join the action until 9:15pm. The 45K guarantee covers 90 players, you can therefore be certain to play for a very cool pot.

Almost 50 players started at the very beginning, and we expect the attendance to grow constantly in the next 2 hours, most likely until the crowd is more than 100 strong. Aggressive play will be the motto, as the format suggests. Can you deal with 3bets? Come show us!
