Good luck to all The $250 Frenzy players!

Endrit Geci

Endrit Geci is comfortably sitting on top of our current leaderboard, and is the only player enjoying 100 blinds. Young Jae Kim, our leader at last break, shares the second spot with Andrej Bachynsky. Jordan Saccucci also managed to stay among the top dogs, having added about 30 to his stack in the last 3 levels. You can see Endrit on the right, all smiles, enjoying his day.

The table below lists our top 5 stacks:

Shawn Martell goes out on a bad beat

  • Level: 10
  • Small Blind: 500
  • Big Blind: 1K
  • Ante: 100
  • Chip Average: 42.3K
  • Remaining: 87
  • Entries: 184

2017/02/05 - 15:15 by Jôle Simard

When we got to Shawn Martell’s table, he had just raised a 3K bet to 8.1K on a 9 of Spades 7 of Hearts 10 of Spades flop. Jeffrey Kennedy, the third player in the hand went all-in for 22.7K. After the initial better got out of the way, Shawn quickly called.

Shawn Martell:    10 of Hearts 9 of Diamonds
Jeffrey Kennedy: Queen of Spades 10 of Clubs

Shawn looked really good, in a great position to bump his stack to about 55K, but the run out decided otherwise.

Full board: 9 of Spades 7 of Hearts 10 of Spades King of Diamonds King of Hearts

Back to back kings were just enough to cripple Martell’s kingdom, and left with just 3K in chips, he walked away on the following hand. Sometimes, one needs a little more than to get it in good; sometimes, one needs a bit of luck on his side…

Leaders – Day 1E 2nd break

2017/02/05 - 14:44 by

The players in Day 1E have just completed their second break of the day and while they were away from the tables, tournament staff removed the green T25 chips from play and we surveyed the room for the current chip leaders.

There were 4 distinct leaders in the field at the moment, but in addition to these are a few players just shy of the 70K mark: Josip Zlomislic, Dmitri Tchakarov, and Dan Edery.

Play has reached the end of level 7 – about the half-way mark – and during the level we got some additional shots of players in the field today.

The first break in Day 1E comes to a close

  • Level: 5
  • Small Blind: 150
  • Big Blind: 300

  • Chip Average: 23.9K

2017/02/05 - 12:23 by

The players in Day 1E have taken their first break of the day, and with the end of the break comes the end of late registration – there were a total of 184 entries today for a grand total so far of 839 entries.

It’s a little early to start putting together a meaningful leaderboard in the flight, but while quite a few players have built up 2x average stacks – in the 50K-60K range – Etienne Leduc has already accumulated over 76,000 in chips! So it’s safe to say he’s off to a decent start today.
