Jordan Saccucci opened from middle position, and Daune Fernandez came along from the button. Heads-up, they both checked on the Queen of Spades 6 of Diamonds 4 of Diamonds flop, and Jordan fired nearly a pot sized bet on the 10 of Spades turn. He then checked the 2 of Clubs river, at which point Daune moved all-in for around 300K – roughly the size of the pot. Jordan made the call with King of Hearts Queen of Hearts, and Daune flashed King of Diamonds 8 of Diamonds for a missed flush-draw.

Jordan climbed to around 1.2 million with that point, putting him atop the leaderboard.

8th place: Daune Fernandez – $2,300.00

Minutes after the final table of Event 7 began, a big 3-way all-in happened.

Short-stacked Carlos Mora open-shoved first, and was followed by slightly-larger-stacked Andrew Forest before biggest-stacked Mounzer Awada came over the top to seal the action 3-way.

Carlos: King of Diamonds Queen of Diamonds
Andrew: Ace of Clubs 10 of Diamonds
Mounzer: Queen of Clubs Queen of Hearts

Mounzer flopped a set on the 2 of Hearts Queen of Spades 4 of Clubs King of Hearts 5 of Clubs board to bury both his opponents and add two more $500 Bounty chips to his collection.

9th place: Andrew Forest – $1,700.00

The 145-player field in Event 7 has been widdled down to just 10 players, and they for our final table of the 50/50 Bounty.

Leading the field is Paul Mohorea, who has amassed over 800K chips along with a handful of $500 bounty chips. Daune Fernandez sits in second with a healthy 650K.

Carter Swidler was all-in and at risk with Ace of Hearts Jack of Spades, but was not match to Jordan Saccucci’s Queen of Clubs Queen of Diamonds as he saw his nearly 200K get shipped across the table on a 6 of Spades 9 of Hearts 8 of Diamonds 10 of Clubs 4 of Hearts board.

On the next hand, Christopher Turnbull flopped top pair with King of Spades 10 of Hearts with King of Hearts 3 of Spades 9 of Hearts showing, but was outmatched by the King of Clubs Jack of Clubs of Jimmy Setna. The running Jack of Spades and 6 of Spades brought no change to the outcome, and Christopher went down in 12th palce.

Samuel Louis Gagnon was trying to rebuild his stack after being crippled moments ago. He moved in from early position with roughly 60K, and was isolated by Jaroslaw Zbigniew Jaskiewicz. When action folded around to Paul Mohorea, he threw in his bounty chip – only to realize once hands were tabled that Jaroslaw was also all-in.

Samuel: 10 of Spades 10 of Clubs
Jaroslaw: 7 of Spades 7 of Diamonds
Paul: Ace of Diamonds 8 of Spades

Board: 8 of Hearts 3 of Clubs 6 of Spades 5 of Diamonds Ace of Hearts

Paul managed to hit two-pairs to best both his opponents, and more than double his 313K stack. Jaroslaw was left with 21K behind, which was lost to Paul on the very next hand.

Play has now reached the 10-handed final table.

Event 7 is on a short break as the staff races off the T500 chips. Daune Fernandez continues to top the field, having increased his lead by chipping up during hand-for-hand play. He now sits on a very comfortable 646K stack.

Peter Jr. Johnson was eliminated from play moments after the money bubble burst as his ace-ten was bested by the ace-deuce of Paul Mohorea, who earned the $500 bounty chip.

Omid Shahbazian found a key double-up after flopping the nuts on a 9 of Hearts 10 of Hearts Jack of Spades flop. The hand was far from locked-in however as his King of Clubs Queen of Clubs had a mountain of outs to fade, being matched against the Ace of Hearts Queen of Hearts of Pierre Paul Paulin. The 7 of Diamonds turn and Ace of Diamonds ran in Omid’s favour as he doubled to nearly 250K.

Mounzer Awada opened to 22K from middle position, and was met with a 3-bet all-in from Pierre-Luc Gareau, sitting in the big blind. He made the call for 95K more and the two players showed down.

Mounzer: Ace of Spades King of Spades
Pierre-Luc: 7 of Spades 7 of Clubs

Mounzer ran a full house on the 8 of Spades King of Clubs 9 of Hearts 2 of Spades King of Hearts board to bring Event 7 into the money as 15 players remain.
