In the first few minutes back from break, there was an all-in / call on all three tables.

Victor found a double up of his short stack through Patrick Blye with 10 of Clubs 9 of Clubs over 4 of Hearts 3 of Spades.

Hendrik Latz opened to 35,000 from late position, Jean-Pascal Savard calls from the small blind and Ema Zajmovic moves all-in from the big blind. Henrik calls the all-in, and Jean-Pascal mucks his hand.

Hendrik: Ace of Spades King of Clubs
Ema: Ace of Hearts Queen of Hearts

Ema found a queen on the 8 of Clubs Jack of Spades 8 of Spades Queen of Diamonds 4 of Diamonds board to run her stack up to around 650,000, while Hendrik dropped to around 520,000.

Moments after the hand, Doug Hartwick was eliminated on another table to the hands of Jordan Saccucci.

Level 21 has been completed, and the field is down to 22 players with the recent losses of Anthony Zinno and Matthew Wilkins. Henry Tran continues to lead the field with nearly 2 million in chips, while Victor Adams rides the short stack returning from break. He lost a good portion of his stack with 9 of Diamonds 9 of Spades versus the Ace of Spades Ace of Clubs of Alexandru Baron near the end of level 22.

Henry Tran opened from under the gun, and Matthew Wilkins defended his big blind.

On a flop of King of Spades 5 of Spades 8 of Diamonds, Matthew checked and Henry bet 25,000. Matthew raised to 103,000, Henry 3-bet all-in and Matthew quickly called.

Henry: King of Clubs Queen of Hearts
Matthew: 8 of Spades 7 of Spades

Henry was calling out for red cards, and managed to fade the 10 of Diamonds turn and 3 of Diamonds river to eliminate his opponent in 23rd place. He added nearly half a million to his already massive chip-lead, and now sits on roughly 2.3 million – which represents 20% of the chips in play with 22 players still in the game.

Anthony Zinno is one of most decorated players in the history of the World Poker Tour, and has made deep run after deep run in WPT Events hosted here, but he hasn’t been able to break through in an event here and add yet more renown to his name here at Playground Poker Club.

Unfortunately for him, the WPT Playground is no exception. Anthony went into the last break playing the short stack and almost immediately when play resumed he was eliminated in 24th place.

24th place: Anthony Zinno, $9,600.00

Players are on a short break following the first level of play in Day 3, and the biggest chip movement has been from the part of Henry Tran. He began the day with 693,000, and in 90 minutes of play he more than doubled his stack up to 1,448,000, taking over the chip-lead with 24 players remaining.

Pascal Lefrancois has had a very strong start to Day 3 as well, and has turned his 635,000 stack into a second place stack of 1,074,000.

Action folded around to Edward Hislop in the small blind, and with just over 215K he open-shoved on Pascal Lefrancois in the big blind. Pascal made the call to put his opponent at risk, and cards were opened up.

Edward: Ace of Spades 5 of Clubs
Pascal: 5 of Spades 5 of Diamonds

The 5s held on the 10 of Clubs 7 of Hearts 4 of Clubs 9 of Spades 2 of Hearts and Edward was eliminated in the process.

We missed the hand, but shortly after Samuel Louis Gagnon saw his Main Event get cut short in 25th place.

In the mean time, Henry (Nghi Van) Tran ran over table 39 before being moved over to another table. His 693K has been turned into nearly 1.2 million after winning a big pot from Kelly Kellner, and another from Ryan Tack Yu.
