Pascal Lefrancois registered into the WPT Playground less than 45 minutes ago, and has already claimed two victims to up his stack to around 80K, good for the current chip lead.
Moments after busting Pierre-Paul Paulin, Pascal Lefrancois opened from middle position and found two callers – Jeffrey Cormier in late position, and Srinivas Gottiparthi in the big blind. His flop and turn bets were called by both players, and once the hand reached the river, he glanced at both of his opponents stacks and went into the tank for a minute. With showing, he fired 10.5K – around 3/4 pot. Jeffery slid forward his 13.5K stack, and Srinivas mucked his hand. Jeffrey found a call and tabled , only to find out his top-pair was no match to the over-pair of of Pascal.
A few more players have recently joined in the action as registration just passed 100 entries, including the likes of Maria Ho, Marc-Andre Ladouceur and Max Silver.
