Danny Li wasn’t particularly short-stacked, nor was he under any out-of-the-ordinary pressure due to his position on the table relative to the others or anything of the sort. Nevertheless, he seemed to have been a little anxious to build his stack.
In the hand in question, action folded to Danny in the cutoff and he chose to shove all-in – Tam Ho (who still has a huge stack) instantly called, and before the cards were even turned over it was apparent that Danny was in trouble.

The community card runout would have to be pretty special to work in his favour, but on the flop and then the turn and river… the better hand stayed in the lead and Danny hit the rail in 7th place.
