Today is the final Day 1 starting flight in the $1,000 + $100 Main Event in the WSOP-C Playground – Day 1D. Play has just begun in level 1 in the tournament, and today is shaping up to be a truly massive day in the event. When the countdown for today hit 0, there were already 462 entries, and less than 10 minutes later, the number is up to 510 – and there’s still a lineup to register at the Cashier.
Play today will follow the same schedule as the other Day 1s held so far: 10 levels of 60 minutes each will be played, with breaks every 2nd level including a 45-minute long dinner break (with a buffet provided) following level 6. At the end of the 10 levels to be played today, everyone who has chips will bag them up to take to Day 2 in the event. There are already over 400 Day 2 qualifiers, a number that should grow by quite a bit today.
Players should remember that this tournament allows an entry and a re-entry on Day 2 as well (until the beginning of level 13), and players may use chips they’ve bagged on a previous Day 1 as either their entry or re-entry – so even if you’re qualified for Day 2 already, there’s some motivation to play an additional Day 1 and secure an additional bag in case you need it to re-enter.
Good luck to everyone playing today!
