Day 1D of the Main Event continues through level 3 but the event continues to attract new and re-entering players, and the tournament is now in Alternates seating, meaning that players who buy in will not receive a direct seat assignment, instead they will be given a ticket indicating the number they are on the Alternates List.
If you are an alternate, you’re welcome to make yourself comfortable in any of the waiting areas in the poker room – when your seat is ready, you will be called by name on the PA system. As well, if you miss your call and your number is lower than the players currently being seated, you can jump to the front of the line – precedence is determined by when a player bought their ticket. In that case just go to the Tournament Desk and let them know that you missed the call.
By the numbers, this is already the largest starting flight in any tournament in Playground history, with 777 entries (including 48 re-entries). Registration continues to be open all the way to the end of the flight, so there’s still a lot of time for that number to grow!
