After four levels in Day 1C of the Main Event, players are enjoying a short break.  There are currently 392 entries (including 36 re-entries), and players can register, or re-enter, for the entire duration of play today.

A tour of the tournament floor allowed us to spot some interesting stacks. Sure enough, we found Jishant Sapra with the only stack above 300,000, in fact, the only one above 200,000! With a towering 308,200 chip stack, Jishant is definitely our chip leader at the moment, with almost twice the chips of his closest competitor.

Only two other players make our 2nd break leader board: Trevor Proch and Yasser Hachem with 158,500 and 150,600 respectively. Jishant was 2nd chip leader at the first break, and Trevor Proch was in 4th place. Both players have managed to stay among the leaders and Yasser Hachem is closing in fast.
After only 4 levels and with 6 more to go, it’s still anybody’s game.

Day 1C of the Main Event continues to add entries and re-entries at a steady pace. There are now more than 17 million chips in play in this flight, as the number of entries has just eclipsed the 340 mark. We have had 14 re-entries up to this point, but many more are sure to follow throughout the course of the day.

The latest Mega Satellite is now underway, and it will provide at least another 30 entries, the only question is whether or not those qualifiers will jump straight into the Main Event or wait to play another flight.

The players have just returned from their first break of the afternoon, and the number of entries continues to tick up, bringing the number of entries well over 300.

The early action was more loose and aggressive than the earlier starting flights, allowing five players to run up six-figure stacks in the first two levels. Dylan Maille is first among them, but more than nine hours of play left today his lead is far from safe.

Players continue to file in to the tournament hall in the early going of Day 1C, pushing the number of entries past 230 with roughly 20 minutes left to play in level 1.

The players have come out firing this afternoon, with three-bets and four-bets setting the early tone. We even saw a pre-flop all in less than ten minutes after the start of play:

Here’s a look at some of the players in the field so far:

    Here comes Day 1C!

    2018/08/30 | 11:45 by Shawn McCrory

The Main Event of the WSOP-C Playground is in full swing, and the stage is set for another big starting flight on Day 1C. With two live starting flights already in the books, Day 1C is shaping up to be the busiest yet.

The format has quickly become familiar to those in attendance; a starting stack of 50,000 in chips, and ten 60-minute levels to play before bagging for Day 2. Players will be able to enter or re-enter at any point during this flight, as well as during the first two levels of play on Saturday’s Day 2.

As the opportunities to enter and re-enter the Main Event dwindle, we are likely to see more re-entries today than in previous flights. The players will be looking to bag as many chips as possible for Day 2, a dynamic that will lead to a “boom or bust” approach for many in the field.

For anyone still looking to play their way in to the Main Event, there will be a Main Event Mega Satellite this afternoon at 2pm. With a buy-in of only $110, today’s Mega Satellite guarantees 30 Main Events seats, providing great value for all those in attendance.

Day 1C kicks off in less than 20 minutes. There are already over 110 players registered, and that number is ticking up by the minute. This is one you don’t want to miss!

    Good luck to all!
