The players of the Main Event Day 1C are taking a 45-minute dinner break. This gave us some time to make the rounds and see how the chips are stacking up.
Current chip leader Jishant Sapra is maintaining his lead and is still in 1st position on our leader board. But unlike the last break, this time the other leaders are not that far behind.
Complacency is never an option in poker, and this holds true of this flight as well. Players have another full 4 hours of play left before the Day 2 bags come out.
We now have 282 players left of 423 entries, including 55 re-entries in this flight.

The number of entries has just passed the 400 mark, putting over 20 million in chips in play on Day 1C.
The Main Event’s format-allowing a full day of late registration and re-entries-has clearly been embraced by the players, as they continue to jump in to this event as we approach the midpoint of today’s starting flight.
The action has been loosening up throughout the flight, bringing the number of re-entries up steadily to reach 44 at this stage.

After four levels in Day 1C of the Main Event, players are enjoying a short break. There are currently 392 entries (including 36 re-entries), and players can register, or re-enter, for the entire duration of play today.
A tour of the tournament floor allowed us to spot some interesting stacks. Sure enough, we found Jishant Sapra with the only stack above 300,000, in fact, the only one above 200,000! With a towering 308,200 chip stack, Jishant is definitely our chip leader at the moment, with almost twice the chips of his closest competitor.
Only two other players make our 2nd break leader board: Trevor Proch and Yasser Hachem with 158,500 and 150,600 respectively. Jishant was 2nd chip leader at the first break, and Trevor Proch was in 4th place. Both players have managed to stay among the leaders and Yasser Hachem is closing in fast.
After only 4 levels and with 6 more to go, it’s still anybody’s game.

Jishant | Sapra | 308,200 |

Day 1C of the Main Event continues to add entries and re-entries at a steady pace. There are now more than 17 million chips in play in this flight, as the number of entries has just eclipsed the 340 mark. We have had 14 re-entries up to this point, but many more are sure to follow throughout the course of the day.
The latest Mega Satellite is now underway, and it will provide at least another 30 entries, the only question is whether or not those qualifiers will jump straight into the Main Event or wait to play another flight.

The players have just returned from their first break of the afternoon, and the number of entries continues to tick up, bringing the number of entries well over 300.
The early action was more loose and aggressive than the earlier starting flights, allowing five players to run up six-figure stacks in the first two levels. Dylan Maille is first among them, but more than nine hours of play left today his lead is far from safe.
First Name | Prénom | Last Name | Nom | Stack | Tapis |
---|---|---|
Dylan | Maille Thibault | 125,750 |
Jishant | Sapra | 122,200 |
Diana | Shamshoum | 119,700 |
Trevor | Proch | 114,400 |
Nathan | Henry | 105,700 |
