The Playground Fall Classic marks the arrival – officially – of the new and exciting ”button ante” rule, which effectively speeds up the game, while making it easier on the players, who now have to ante only once per round. This rule consists of making the player on the button pay all of the antes at once.
The ante is equivalent to the big blind. However, when one of the tables is played 7-handed or less, it lowers to the size of the small blind for all of the tables – as is the case right now. Players love it. Dealers love it. It is a great addition to the game.
