It didn’t take long after the first break for Event 1 to reach the money, as Jeff Porter was eliminated one spot shy of the payouts. With a cash prize of at least $280 now locked in, we can expect many of the shorter stacks open their range and attempt to either run up their stack or fall trying.
The first break of Day 2 has just passed the Strangers in the Night players, and 93 players are back in action in level 19 with the money-bubble just around the corner. Hand-for-hand will begin momentarily, and once 3 more eliminations take place this kickoff event to the Playground Poker Fall Classic will be in the money.

Day 2 of the Strangers in the Night Event kicked off with a very quick pace, and the field is now but a few eliminations away from reaching the money.
90 players are set to collect a cash prize, and with 103 currently in play we can expect to reach the money-bubble in a matter of minutes. Chip-leader to start the day Daniel Le appears to still be sitting atop the leaderboard, having chipped up well above 400K. A short break is scheduled to take place in less than half a level, during which we will publish an update on top counts.

Day 2 of Strangers in the Night is into the second level of play, and 30 players have already hit the rail in these early stages of the night.

The Playground Poker Fall Classic carries on with Day 2 of the Strangers in the Night, and from a starting field of 904 entries, 185 players are back at the felts and ready to continue their journey towards the elusive final table. The top 90 players are set to collect a payout, meaning that a little less than half of the remaining field will secure a payday of at least $280, with a cool $23,000 reserved for the eventual tournament champion.
Day 2 will play through 12 levels of 30-minutes each before the surviving players bag their chips onto tomorrow’s grand finale. Daniel Le (346,500) begins the night as the chip leader, and he is closely followed by Martin Fortin (324,000) and William Blais (290,000). Below is a table that includes all of the player-reported counts heading into Day 2, as well as the seating assignments.
