Eric Afriat opened to 100,000 from under the gun, and action folded around to Brady Hinnegan in the small blind. With a stack worth 605,000, he moved all-in and found the call from Eric.

Eric: Jack of Diamonds Jack of Hearts
Brady: Queen of Diamonds Queen of Hearts

Eric had most of his own chips on the line with the under-pair, but managed to find a Jack on the 9 of Diamonds 4 of Spades 7 of Clubs 7 of Diamonds Jack of Spades board to send Brady to the rail in 9th place. He jumped up to around 1.6 million with that pot.

9th place: Brady Hinnegan – $38,510.00

Blind on blind: Hinnegan takes out Liberto

2017/11/15 - 17:10 by

Justin Liberto has been eliminated in 10th place in the WPT Montreal, a mere minutes after Curt Kohlberg was also sent to the rail.

Action in the hand folded around to Brady Hinnegan in the small blind who elected to open shove into Justin in the big blind. Justin had far too strong a hand to fold, so he made the call and the hands were tabled.

Justin: Ace of Clubs 10 of Clubs
Brady: King of Diamonds 3 of Clubs

The flop had something for both players: Ace of Hearts King of Hearts 4 of Spades and the 7 of Diamonds turn kept the status quo intact. The river was a killer for Justin – King of Spades to give Brady rivered trips and send Justin to the tournament desk to pick up his payout coupon.

10th place: Justin Liberto, $31,990.00

Kohlberg knocked out by Quinn

  • Level: 25
  • Small Blind: 15K
  • Big Blind: 30K
  • Ante: 5K
  • Chip Average: 1.8M
  • Remaining: 10
  • Entries: 606

2017/11/15 - 16:57 by Playground Poker

Curt Kohlberg placed a raise to 80,000 from the button, and Derek Wolters 3-bet to 260,000 from the small blind. Patrick Quinn then went into the tank for a few moments before placing a cold 4-bet to 680,000 from the big blind. Curt cut out his own stack before committing his 525,000 chips, and Derek got out of the way.

Curt: 10 of Spades 10 of Clubs
Patrick: Ace of Clubs King of Hearts

Patrick spiked and Ace to win the hand on a Ace of Spades 4 of Diamonds 4 of Clubs 5 of Spades 7 of Diamonds board, thinning the field by one while adding some ammunition to his stack.

We are now one elimination from reaching the unofficial final table of 9.

11th place: Curt Kohlberg – $31,990.00

Charette out in 12th place

  • Level: 25
  • Small Blind: 15K
  • Big Blind: 30K
  • Ante: 5K
  • Chip Average: 1.7M
  • Remaining: 11
  • Entries: 606

2017/11/15 - 16:48 by

Duff Charette started the day strongly but eventually lost two big pots to Maxime Heroux and found himself short. He was lucky to double once and win some small pots while laddering up one position, but eventually push came to shove and he was all in against David Peters.

Duff: 10 of Hearts 10 of Spades
David: Ace of Clubs King of Spades

Duff started out ahead but the 3 of Clubs King of Hearts 4 of Diamonds flop ended that state of affairs. The 5 of Clubs was no help, nor was the King of Diamonds on the river.

12th place: Duff Charette, $31,990.00
