The end of Day 1

The 12 levels scheduled for today have been completed, and although all of the players except one were content to keep playing until the end, the choice had to be unanimous so the original schedule will be maintained. Players will return on Wednesday, November 26th t 7:30pm to resume the tournament.

In the last hand of the evening, the chip leader (Shane Flewelling) won a huge pot against Anesti Kocini, leaving Anesti with just 5K in chips.

Players are now counting and bagging their chips to be stored until Day 2.

Tuesday nights at Playground Poker Club are famous for Pot Limit Omaha tournaments, and beginning Event 11 on a Tuesday follows in this tradition.

Players start with 30K in chips – but they can start with just 10K in play and get 10K more for each of 2 additional “life” chips that may be used during the first 4 levels of play. At the break, all remaining “life” chips are converted to tournament chips and the event continues as usual.

Play will continue for 12 levels tonight and then resume tomorrow for Day 2.
