The hole cards:

Tomas: Ace of Clubs King of Hearts

Steve: 8 of Clubs 8 of Hearts

The community cards were dealt: Jack of Spades Jack of Diamonds Queen of Clubs 4 of Diamonds and the river 8 of Diamonds shut the door on Tomas, giving Steve a Full House and the championship!

The action tonight is moving very quickly as the chip average is relatively short. Michel Chevalier was caught with a short stack and the 2nd best hand and has been eliminated.

Steve Daraiche raised from the small blind and and Michel chose to reraise all-in from the big blind. Steve made the call.

Michel : Ace of Spades 4 of Hearts

Steve : King of Clubs 10 of Diamonds

The community cards: 6 of Spades 7 of Diamonds 9 of Spades 6 of Hearts King of Hearts gave Steve the hand and Michel was out in 3rd place.

Steve : Ace of Diamonds 5 of Hearts

The community cards were dealt: 6 of Hearts 8 of Diamonds 2 of Diamonds 5 of Diamonds 8 of Hearts

Eight-handed tonight!

Tonight’s 8-Max tournament is Event 12 in the Playground Poker Fall Classic – the second-to-last event before the end of this year’s festival.

The 8-Max format has become extremely popular at Playground Poker Club in the 6 months that it has been a regular part of the schedule. It’s not “short-handed” poker like a 6-Max, but players do have a little more breathing room at the tables, the action is slightly faster than standard 10-handed tournaments, and, at the end, the tables are always balanced until a final table of 9 is established.

The action gets under way tonight at 7:30pm and late registration is open for the first 4 20-minute levels plus the 10-minute break following, so there’s lots of time left to come out to Playground Poker Club and get in on the fun.
