Kyle Myers lost a number of chips in this last level, after being bluffed by Pascal Lefrancois, and doubling Darren Elias not long after.

Following a button open by Pascal to 13,000, Kyle moved in for his last 20 big blinds from the small blind, only to get snapped by Pascal.

Pascal: Queen of Spades Queen of Clubs

Kyle: Ace of Clubs 5 of Hearts

Come the turn, Kyle had picked up a lot of outs to score a double up, but it was Pascal’s queens that ended up taking the pot on the 7 of Clubs 3 of Clubs King of Hearts 4 of Clubs 4 of Spades board.

5th place: Kyle Myers – $48,015

Darren Elias is on a roll here near the end of Day 2, as he just doubled up again, only moments after his previous double.

He got all of his chips in the middle on the turn versus Pascal Lefrancois, with the board showing Ace of Spades 5 of Hearts 3 of Hearts 7 of Clubs.

Darren: 7 of Diamonds 7 of Clubs

Pascal: Ace of Clubs 5 of Clubs

Pascal needed an ace on the river to win the pot, but the Jack of Diamonds fell, securing Darren of his double up. He now sits on just over 500,000, good for second in chips, and Pascal still holds the chip lead. The day is minutes from finishing, at which point we will bring you an update on the chip counts going into Day 3.

Darren Elias moved in over the top of Kyle Myers 24,000 bet on a board showing 5 of Diamonds 10 of Spades King of Diamonds 6 of Hearts, and after a few moments, Kyle announced the call for around 80,000 more.

Darren: King of Spades 10 of Hearts

Kyle: Ace of Diamonds Jack of Diamonds

Kyle had a lot of outs to win the hand with his straight and flush draws, and although he made the flush on the 10 of Diamonds river, that same card improved Darren’s hand to a full house. Darren doubled up to roughly 275,000, while Kyle fell to more or less 125,000.

There is only 15 minutes left before the end of Day 2.

After losing a huge pot to Pascal Lefrancois not long ago, Charles-Alexandre Sylvestre seemed a little off his game, and saw his stack evaporate in two big pots.

In the first hand, he 4bet shoved from the big blind following an open to 12,500 from Darren Elias on the button, and a 3bet all-in from Shaan Siddiqui for 109,000 in the small blind.

Charles-Alexandre: 3 of Clubs 3 of Hearts

Shaan: 10 of Hearts 10 of Spades

Board: 8 of Clubs King of Spades King of Hearts 6 of Clubs 6 of Hearts

Not long after, he open shoved his remaining 153,000 from the button, only to get called by Pascal Lefrancois in the big blind.

Charles-Alexandre: King of Diamonds 8 of Diamonds

Pascal: Ace of Hearts 8 of Clubs

With no improvement on the 4 of Diamonds 5 of Clubs 6 of Hearts Jack of Diamonds 3 of Hearts board, Charles-Alexandre was eliminated in 6th place.

Pascal Lefrancois just pulled off the bluff of the tournament, and tabled it for the world to see. Sitting in the big blind, he defended his blind versus an open from Kyle Myers, who was under the gun. On a flop of King of Clubs 3 of Spades 10 of Diamonds, he check-raised Kyle to 42,500. He then barrelled 77,000 on the 2 of Clubs turn, and finally shoved on the 9 of Spades river. Kyle went into the tank on the river, and with roughly 250,000 behind, he elected to fold.

Pascal tabled 8 of Hearts 6 of Hearts for 8 high, and scooped the massive pot.

Charles-Alexandre Sylvestre has maintained a spot amongst the chip leaders throughout the tournament, but he just ended up on the losing end of a huge preflop betting war. Pascal Lefrancois opened to 11,000 from under the gun, and Charles-Alexandre 3bet to 27,000 from the button. Pascal then 4bet to 71,000, which was followed by a 5bet all-in from Charles-Alexandre and a call from Pascal.

Charles-Alexandre: Ace of Diamonds King of Clubs

Pascal: King of Diamonds King of Spades

The board of 9 of Spades 4 of Diamonds 9 of Hearts 2 of Spades Queen of Clubs brought no help to Charles-Alexandre, who saw 363,000 of his hard-earned chips get shipped over to Pascal. He still holds just over 200,000, good for 40+ big blinds, but Pascal has now taken over the chip lead of this High-Roller event.

7th place: Nicholas Petrangelo

  • Small Blind: 2.5K
  • Big Blind: 5K
  • Ante: 500

Nicholas Petrangelo saw his stack dwindle to 56,000 before he decided to open-shove from middle position. It folded around to Kyle Myers, who made the call from the blinds.

Nicholas: King of Diamonds Queen of Hearts

Kyle: Ace of Clubs Queen of Clubs

They both paired the Queen of Diamonds 3 of Hearts 2 of Diamonds 3 of Diamonds 4 of Clubs board, but Kyle’s kicker was enough to knock Nicholas out in 7th place.

7th place: Nicholas Petrangelo – $32,010

Pascal Lefrancois opened to 8,500 from under the gun, and was 3bet by Eric Afriat from utg+1 to 18,000. It folded around back to Pascal, who made the call. On the King of Clubs 5 of Clubs 8 of Diamonds flop, Pascal check-called Eric’s 11,500 bet. When the 4 of Hearts hit the turn, both players checked. On the 6 of Diamonds river, Pascal announces all-in, which put Eric into the tank. Eric cuts up his chips up, and after a moment of silence, slides forward some of his remaining 63,500 to signify a call. Pascal turns over 8 of Spades 6 of Spades for two pair, and Eric tables his losing pair of Queen of Spades Queen of Clubs.
