Here are the final chip counts for Day 1b of The $250 Frenzy, Event 3 of the 2014 Playground Poker Fall Classic. There were a total of 192 entrants in the second of six starting flights in Event 3. Of the 192 players who started, 40 have qualified for Day 2 on Monday, November 17th at 7pm.

Note that these are unverified player-counted chip counts. All chips have been sealed in bags until they return to play on Day 2.

The players are approaching the end of Day 1b of Event 3, the $250 Frenzy ($225 + $25 NL Hold’em Re-entry) in the Playground Poker Fall Classic. There are 50 players left in the action on 5 tables, and the stacks are relatively balanced around the room. Jean-Pierre Hétu and Derek Lerner have separated from the rest of the field, having accumulated over 200K in chips. There is still a level and a half to play this evening, and with blinds going up it will be no surprise to see lots of action between now and the end of Day 1b.

Players have now returned from their second break of the night and there are currently 90 players left – a little fewer than half of the starting field tonight. Three players have pierced the 100K barrier with another right behind at 95K.

Players have reached level 9 and there has been a lot of action in the last few levels. At this point there are 100 players left in this flight, and some large stacks are starting to be built – we’ll find out where these are during the upcoming break at the end of this level.

Players have returned from their first break of the night and late registration is now closed with 192 entries having bought in tonight. There are 160 players left in Day 1b, with lots of action to come.

The first break in Day 1b of the $250 Frenzy is approaching. There is still a half of a level for players to register before the end of late registration, and at the moment there are 188 entries, among whom are a lot of familiar faces on this Friday night at Playground. Here are some photos:

The 2nd flight (Day 1b) of The $250 Frenzy in the Playground Poker Fall Classic has now begun. To start the evening there are 157 entries, and there are still 4 levels for late registration, which ends at the end of the first break after level 4.

In just about an hour, the second of six starting flights in The $250 Frenzy will get started, and a whole new crew of players will see if they have what it takes (both skill AND luck) to qualify for Day 2 on Monday evening.

Friday nights are always full of action here at Playground, so it should be a busy night. Players who want to jump in to the event are encouraged to do so as early as possible.

Play tonight, as is the case in each of the starting days of this event, will continue through 14 levels.
