Day 3 of the 2014 WPT Montreal has come to an end as the field has gone from 49 players to just 18 remaining. At the close of play today, Jonathan Jaffe seemed to be the chip leader with over 2.7M in chips, but we’ll have confirmation of this shortly.

Jie Gao has been eliminated in 19th place as he was all-in holding and called by Jonathan Jaffe who held the . The flop of suddenly made even-strength hands anything but, as Jaffe was freerolling for the flush. The turn brought that possibility closer and the on the river made it 100% – Jaffe hit the flush, and Jie Gao was out of the tournament.

Preflop, Tim Ulmer was facing a raise to 105K from Guillaume Nolet. He shoved his last 400K (approximately) over the top and when the big blind folded, Guillaume snap called by throwing a single chip onto the table.
