After losing a big pot to Aleksander Copovic a few hands earlier (10 of Clubs Jack of Clubs < Ace of Hearts Queen of Clubs, all-in preflop), Ramesh Puradchithasan had very few chips left to work with. He got them in versus versus Alex Shing, and needed some help to win the pot.

Ramesh: 9 of Spades 5 of Hearts

Alex: Ace of Spades Jack of Diamonds

He couldn’t improve enough to win on the 2 of Spades King of Spades 5 of Clubs 2 of Clubs Jack of Clubs board, and was eliminated in 10th place.

10th place: Ramesh Puradchithasan – $350

We’ve just begun level 7 here in Event 7 of the Playground Poker Fall Classic, and a few players have already been eliminated. Given the turbo format of the event, we can expect to see a lot of action right from the start, as players are well aware that the structure is favourable for aggressive players.

Event 7 tonight!

Now that the starting flights for the WPT Montreal have almost been completed, the rest of the side events in the Playground Poker Fall Classic are resuming. Tonight is Event 7, a Deepstack Turbo ($200 + $20 NL Hold’em) tournament.

The event tonight is capped at 100 players – with Day 1c and cash game action already underway, there is simply no more room for additional tables or alternates to be accepted!

The Deepstack Turbo format is a popular one here at Playground Poker Club – many of our daily tournaments use the format and at least one weeknight tournament has used this format since the club opened in 2010.

With the capped field and the turbo format, the action tonight should be wild – we’ll have coverage from start to finish.
