Edouard Dupuis opened up the action from middle position by placing a raise to 57,000. It folded around to Mike Lafable in the small blind, who 3bet to 150,000. Edouard, who started the hand with just over 800,000, made the call.

When the flop came , Mike checked to Edouard, who placed a bet of 225,000. After a moment in the tank, Mike check-raised to 575,000, which then put Edouard into the tank. He eventually announced all-in, and was quickly called.

The turn and river ( ) were blanks, and Mike cleaned Edouard out, increasing his stack to over 2 million.

7th place: Edouard Dupuis – $10,220

Jonathan Barrette saw his stack dwindle down to just 2 big blinds before finally moving it in from the small blind. He was holding , and managed to win the hand versus Julien Fauteux Delorme’s on a board. On the next hand, he stole the blinds from the button, which was a substantial increase to his stack.

A few hands later, he once again moved all-in, this time for 196,000. Edouard Dupuis isolated him with a raise to 400,000, and they went heads-up to the flop.

Jonathan made two pairs on the board to run his stack up to over 400,000, good for over 15 big blinds.

Edouard Dupuis has picked up a number of chips in the last two hands. In the first hand, after investing nearly 100,000 prior to the river, he min-raised Faisal Khan’s 126,000 bet on the river of a board. Faisal made the call, and mucked his hand when Edouard tabled the nut flush with , saying under his breath that he also made the running flush.

On the very next hand, he opened from middle position to 55,000, and was 3bet to 145,000 by Daniel Jason Stelitz. After a brief moment, Edouard announced all-in for just over 800,000, which forced Daniel Jason out of the hand. He is now hovering around the 1 million chip mark.

Faisal Khan, sitting on the chip lead with nearly 3 million to start the hand, opened from utg to 52,000. Tj Ulmer moved all-in for 271,000 from the button, and before Graham Lupton had time to act in the big blind, Faisal announced call. Graham was only holding 14,000 more than TJ, and announced the call. Given it was a passive action, Faisal’s out of turn call was binding, and the three players went to the flop. Graham was sitting on the best hand preflop, and was in a great spot to triple up.

The board of changed nothing, and Tj was sent home in 8th place, while Graham tripled up to over half a million.

8th place: TJ ‘1bigacehole’ Ulmer – $8,190

Vlad Faubert was on the short end of the leaderboard for the last few orbits. He successfully managed to steal his neighboor Julien Fauteux Delorme’s big blind a few times today by moving in from the small blind whenever the pot was unopened. On this last hand however, Julien committed the ~200,000 in chips to go to showdown heads-up with Vlad.

Vlad couldn’t improve on the board, and was eliminated in 9th place.

Shortly after Julien Fauteux Delorme doubled his 172,000 stack through Daniel Jason Strelitz ( > , all-in preflop), we saw Graham Lupton double up a 146,000 stack through TJ Ulmer ( > , all-in preflop).

Shortly after having doubled up his short stack, Domenico Scalamogna moved in from middle position with 344,000, and was followed by an all-in by Daniel Jason Streitz from the cutoff, holding roughly 470,000.

Edouard Dupuis opened from middle position, and was faced by an all-in from Domenico Scalamogna in late position, who only have 149,000 to his name. Edouard made the call, but found himself in dire need of help:

The board of was clean for Domenico, who gave himself a little more room to manoeuvre with.

Event 4 – The $1,100 WPT Warm-up – resumes momentarily, and ten players are still on the quest for the fourth Playground Poker Fall Classic bracelet of this series, which is accompanied by a cool $61,390 payday.

Leading the field is Mike Lafable (1,810,000 chips), a local regular who is searching for his second bracelet of the series. Mike outlasted a field of 1,464 in Event 1 – The Wild $150 – to claim the bracelet, and the $30,600 prize that came with it. He began Day 2 of the WPT Warm-up as one of the shorter stacks, but steadily grew his stack throughout the day to eventually take over the chip lead in the last levels of play.

Right on his tail is Faisal Khan (1,748,000 chips), who found himself amongst the top stacks for most of Day 2. When the field dropped to two tables, Faisal went on a rush, knocking out 3 players along the way and amassing an impressive stack.

These two players amount to just over 50% of the chips in play, and the next player on the leaderboard is sitting on a stack equal to less than half of the one of Faisal or Mike.

Vlad Faubert, a local pro who is a fierce competitor on the tables, has also made the final table, and sits on a stack of 461,000 chips.

Online sensation TJ ‘1bigacehole’ Ulmer is also amongst the final ten, and is bringing 345,000 chips to this final table, along with his years of experience in tournament play. He is rated amongst the best (if not THE best) online players worldwide, and will definitely be one to watch out for on this final table.
