Matt Jarvis has doubled through Pascal Lefrançois as they prove that having a deal doesn’t mean that you play any less seriously.

Matt opened the action preflop to 22K, and Pascal raised to 65K. Matt 4-bet to 162K which brought an all-in raise from Pascal.

The community cards proved safe for Matt: and he is now the chip leader.

Only about 10 hands following the player agreement, Darren Elias opened a pot and Pascal Lefrançois raised all-in (he covered Darren at the time). Darren snap called and the players showed down.

The remaining 3 players in the High Roller Event – Darren Elias, Matt Jarvis, and Pascal Lefrançois, have agreed to a deal to reserve $10,000 and the championship belt for the winner and split up the remaining prize pool according to ICM stack values.

At the time of the deal, the players’ stack sizes were:

• Pascal Lefrançois – 868K
• Darren Elias – 696K
• Matt Jarvis – 417K

The new payouts will be as follows:

• Pascal Lefrançois – $147,383.00
• Darren Elias – $137,860.00
• Matt Jarvis – $117,686.00

These new figures will be represented in the final payout table that will be published upon the conclusion of this event.

The players have also agreed to reduce the blind levels to 30 minutes in length. Play continues in level 19.

The remaining 3 players in the High Roller event have opted to pause the clock to discuss a deal. Any deal made must leave 10% of the remaining prize pool (or more), plus the championship belt, to be awarded as the tournament plays out, so it’s taking some time to figure out the exact numbers and come to an agreement, but play should resume shortly.

Shaan Siddiqui lost a few chips in the first few hands of this Day 3, and with 138,000 left, he opted for an open-shove from the button. Pascal Lefrancois made the call from the big blind, and they went heads-up.

Pascal outflopped Shaan on the board to bring this High-Roller field down to it’s final 3 players.

We just saw Pascal min-raise from the small blind, and Darren Elias 3bet to 58,000. Pascal then 4bet to 140,000, but folded after Darren 5bet all-in.

Having earned a small pot earlier, Darren has now taken over the chip lead of this event, but he and Pascal are neck-to-neck around the 700,000 mark.

Day 3 of Event 9 – $10,000 + $400 No Limit Hold’em High Roller is about to start, and there are 4 players still on the hunt for the title, the Playground Poker Fall Classic High-Roller Champions Belt, and of course the $192,060 prize that comes along with it!

WSOP bracelet winner, and WPT Montreal 2012 runner-up Pascal Lefrancois leads the field with 847,500 in chips, but not far behind is Darren Elias, who doubled up twice in the last minutes of play last night to build a stack of 516,000. Matthew Jarvis is still in contention as well, with a stack of 408,500. Matt and Pascal have a lot of history together, as they both ran deep in the 2010 WSOP Main Event, where Pascal finished in 11th place, while Matt made the “November 9”, and placed 8th. On the short end of the leaderboard is Shaan Siddiqui, but with 208,500 (26 big blinds), he still has a comfortable stack to work with.
