David Ormsby was eliminated from the High Roller Event, but came right back in it with a second bullet. He was seen releasing his cards in a big pot that was pushed towards Darren Elias, who has significantly extended his lead. Elias is now sitting on almost 300K.
With Robert Greenberg and Lawrence Greenberg’s arrivals, and David Ormsby’s re-entry, we now have 3 tables of 6 and a total of 21 entries in the Event.

The field in the WPT Montreal is now 80-player wide, which is just 4 eliminations from the money. Play should get to hand-for-hand soon, and just moved to 8-handed action.
Tonight will be held Day 1 of Event #13, the $500 + $50 PL Omaha 8-max Re-entry tournament. The Event features a $25,000 guarantee, and will play on 2 days. Day 1 starts at 7pm tonight, and will play through 12 levels of 30 minutes, at which point the tournament will pause until tomorrow at 4pm, where it will play to conclusion.
PLO players will be allotted 50,000 chips upon registration, which will allow deep action from the start. This being said, as you all know, it is an action game, and it is not uncommon to see players bust in the first few levels. If that happens, you will be able to re-enter the Event as many times as you wish, all the way to the end of level 6, which is also the deadline for entering the field.

Event 11 was a $200 + $20 NL Hold’em tournament for players over the age of 50. 133 seniors showed up for the Event, including many known players, including Stan Parkes, André Boyer, Stuart Taylor, Richard Figiel, Bill Kontaratos, Bot T, Debra Ann Holman, and Armand King, who made it to the final table.
Bob T was the champion of last year’s Playground Poker Fall Classic Seniors’ Event. He missed the payouts by about 10 spots. Many players, including Bradley J. Vance who missed the final table by a hair, came to us throughout the night with very good words about the venue, whether it was during a break or after they were eliminated. We thank them for their kindness and wish them good luck in their future competitions.
The final table played for about 2 and a half hours, during which very few hands were played post flop, due to the tough blind augmentations. In the end, the blinds were 50K/100K, and Georges Rombotis made it 300K to go. Éric Guindon announced all-in, and Georges called the bet, holding an ace in his hand. He flopped trips deuces, and so ended the Seniors’ Event (full hand below).
