    2018/07/01 - 22:57 by Jôle Simard

Eddy Gotfryd opened from 250K, and Robert Courrière 3-bet to 500K from the blinds. Gotfryd called and they went to a flop. Both players checked it. On the turn, bets escalated and both players ended up all-in.

Gotfryd was behind, but in good shape compared to his flop situation. He had 10 outs for a win and 3 for a chop:

Gotfryd: Ace of Spades 10 of Clubs
Courrière: Ace of Diamonds Queen of Hearts

Board: 10 of Spades Jack of Hearts King of Hearts 10 of Hearts 3 of Spades

The 3 of Spades was definitely not what Gotfryd was hoping for.

Shortly after, it was Eric Halaby who bit the dust. After doubling his micro stack with tens, he found himself in preflop showdown with the man who can’t lose one, our chip leader Robert Courrière.

Halaby: King of Spades 9 of Clubs
Courrière: King of Hearts Jack of Clubs

Board: 8 of Clubs 5 of Clubs 10 of Hearts 7 of Clubs Queen of Clubs

Gotfryd took 5th place, worth $3,270, while Halaby left with $4,260, 4th place money. Excellent work!

    Eddy Gotfryd
    Eric Al Halaby
