The players are approaching the third break of the tournament and the play has tightened up somewhat with few eliminations but nevertheless some large stacks starting to be grown. Among the leaders is André St-Jean with almost 160K, followed by Garry Thompson with 150K.
The first player has been eliminated from the Final Table of Event 1. We weren’t on hand to catch all of the action, but by the end of the hand Alberto Scuderi’s
improved when he made a set on the turn (

During the 2nd break we got chip counts for the largest stacks in the tournament, and there are three players who have distanced themselves somewhat from the field.

Mike Lafable has been playing a short stack for much of the night, and raised all-in from UTG to 635K. Action folded around to Isham Yamani in the BB who thought for a minute and called.

Maurice Simard was eliminated in 12th place when his pocket pair didn’t hold up to Alberto Scuderi’s pocket 3s – the bad news came on the river. Maurice had been nursing a small stack all day and managed to pass quite a few pay jumps along the way.

Jason Robineault raised to 275K from late position and Kaven re-raised all in – but only for another 95K. Jason quickly called and the cards were turned over.
