What they’re playing for
Every event in the Playground Poker Fall Classic except for the WPT Montreal and the High Roller will award the champion a healthy prize pool – but also a beautiful Champion’s Bracelet like this one.
The High Roller event and the WPT will both have huge prize pools and the winner will get an amazing Champion’s Belt! We’ll publish photos of the belts as those events get nearer.

It’s still early in Day 1a, but during the first break we found that although there were quite a few players who had doubled or even tripled their starting stack of 20K in tournament chips, Isham Yamani had taken the chip lead, having built his stack to an impressive 92K during the first 4 levels of play.
The other news, now that the break has ended is that the final number in this flight grew to 391 entries, which represents a solid start to the four starting flights for Event 1.

Day 1a is approaching the end of level 2 and there are already 356 players seated with over an hour left for late registration (2 more 30-minute levels plus the break following level 4). As usual, when the Tournament Hall is almost full there is a palpable buzz in the room as players are both excited to get started – but they’re also settling in for a long day.
An important reminder
The Tournament Director has asked us to publish an important reminder for all players in Fall Classic Events. To take your seat in any event, players must present their valid seating ticket AND one piece of valid, government-issued photo ID to the dealer.

Opening announcements have been made and the TD has issued the traditional command: “Dealers, shuffle up and deal”. And with that, the 2014 Playground Poker Fall Classic is underway.
Day 1a of The Wild $150 is starting off strong with 275 players seated as the first flight of the tournament begins and still more than 2 hours available for late registration. The published capacity for today’s daytime flight is 400 players, and it wouldn’t be a surprise for us to approach that number by the time registration ends.
Good luck!
The countdown to the Fall Classic is almost over
It’s 10am here in Kahnawake, and in just one hour, players will take their seats in Event 1 of the 2014 Playground Poker Fall Classic! Event 1 is similar to the first event of most of the festivals we have hosted here at Playground Poker Club – and it’s such an important part of the schedule that we’ve given it a name – The Wild $150!
What’s wild about it? Well, with a $100,000 Guarantee and a great track record of beating that guarantee by substantial amounts in the past, it’s certain that the winner of this $150 buy-in tournament will take home a prize of over $30,000! It’s one of the best deals in poker today.
The other “Wild” thing about the event is that it’s a next-day re-entry event, meaning that a player who busts out of Day 1a today can try again in Day 1b, Day 1c, or Day 1d.
So good luck to all of the players, from both near and far, in this event and in all of the events of the 2014 Fall Classic!
