Here are the final chip counts for Day 1d of The $250 Frenzy, Event 3 of the 2014 Playground Poker Fall Classic. There were a total of 223 entrants in the fourth of six starting flights in Event 3. Of the 223 players who started, 45 have qualified for Day 2 on Monday, November 17th at 7pm.

Note that these are unverified player-counted chip counts. All chips have been sealed in bags until they return to play on Day 2.

Less than 30 minutes from now, Day 1d will be over and the players will count and bag their chips to return on Monday November 17th at 7pm for Day 2. With 53 players still in the tournament, anything is still possible and a player’s situation can change very quickly – as Dany Hamel-Boulay found out a little while ago.

Players are now approaching the end of Day 1d. There are 59 players left and a few of them have accumulated significant stacks to place them among the chip leaders. That said, with a level and a half to go, there’s still a lot of time left for players to build up quickly.

Here are some photos of the players with big stacks at this point – and we’ll publish the full results list once the day has come to a close.

Dany Hamel Boulay – a talented local player who has a lot of success here at Playground – was among the chip leaders at the last break with 109K, and who had grown his stack after the break to over 150K. Unfortunately Dany has just been eliminated from the tournament on a bad beat – in what was a 300K chip pot.

Dany held pocket Aces and ended up 5-betting all-in and found that his opponent held pocket Tens. His opponent hit a ten and Dany hit the rail.

Players are back from their second break of the night and play continues in level 10 of Day 1d of Event 3. During the break, tournament staff there was a colour up as the T25 chips were removed from play. There are 96 players left in action tonight, one of whom (Rawad Haddad) who is playing a stack of just under 200K in chips.

The level 9 has begun on this day 1D of Event 3, and a little less than half of the players who started continue to fight to qualify for Day 2. There are 10 tables currently active and several players distancing themselves from the crowd. The tournament is moving along and players currently have an average of more than 50 big blinds. It would not be surprising to see several small stacks disappear very soon.

The players in Day 1d of Event 3 are currently playing in level 6. Late registration closed with a total of 223 entries tonight, which brings the total number of entries in the event so far to 737. There are 2 additional Day 1 flights coming tomorrow (Sunday), Day 1e at 11am and Day 1f at 7pm. There’s lots of opportunity still to jump in the action!

Play continues in level 4, the final level before the break which will also be the end of late registration. There are currently 217 entries, a slightly higher figure than last night.
