Play in the $1000 + $100 WPT Warm-up has entered its final level of the day, and there are still 71 players left in the tournament after 12 and 1/2 levels of hard-fought poker. Everyone who survives today will return tomorrow at 12pm for Day 2 in the event, which will play down to a 10-player final table on Thursday.

Since the last break, several players have chipped up considerably. We’ll publish a full list of chip counts along with the seating draw for Day 2 once play wraps up today, but in a quick survey of the field there were a few players with over 250K in chips and at least one who may be closer to the 300K mark.

Event 4 of the Playground Poker Fall Classic – known as “The $1,100 WPT Warm-up” – was a $1000 + $100 NL Hold’em event. The event attracted a total of 269 entries, which generated a prize pool of $260,930.00. This prize pool will be distributed according to the following table.

Already more than 100 players have been eliminated out of Day 1 of Event 4, and the field is now down to 165 players. The tournament is now being played 9-handed, with still 6 more 45-minute levels to go before the end of Day 1.

The tournament staff is currently preparing itself for tonight’s 50/50 Bounty event, which is a $100 + $20 + $100 No Limit Hold’em event. It is schedule to start at 7:30pm, be sure not to miss this bracelet event!

The starting stack is 25K and blinds for Day 1 are 45 minutes long. Play will continue for 13 levels today and then the players will bag their chips to return for Day 2 tomorrow at 12pm. Tables are starting 10-handed but will move to 9-handed tables as soon as possible.
