Today is the third of the three starting flights in this year’s WPT Montreal, and as usual it certain to be the largest of all of the starting flights in the tournament. The event is a $3,500 + $350 NL Hold’em event and boasts a $2,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. There have been exactly 300 entries so far – 100 on Day 1A and 200 on Day 1B.
Play today will get underway at 11:00am and continue through 10 60-minute levels. There will be a 15 minute break following every second level, and the break after level 6 will be a 45-minute dinner break with a lovely buffet provided for all players in the tournament. The end of the dinner break at 6:15pm will also mark the end of the late registration period.
As the final starting day, Day 1C is traditionally the day that most satellite winners choose to play – and there were a lot of satellite winners for this event. It’s safe to say that well over 100 entries today will be occupied players who qualified their way in – which in turn attracts buy-ins, as there is sometimes a perception that the field might be slightly softer than other days.
Good luck on the felts!
